Prayer
As a church we recognise that God calls us to be a praying people and therefore alongside God’s Word, prayer permeates every single aspect of our life together. At DSBC we are committed to the importance of corporate & personal prayer and provide plenty of opportunity, encouragement & teaching in both – corporately we meet together for prayer every Wednesday (2:30-3:30) & Sunday (6:00-6:30) in the small hall at the church.
There have been a number of times in the past couple of years when we’ve called the church to prayer for specific purposes – for example during the times of discerning a vision statement and drawing up a Statement of Faith. The Lord wonderfully blessed our times of prayer on these occasions.
As a fellowship we praise God for the privilege we have in bringing our prayers to Him – knowing that as we pray, the Lord hears us and will answer our prayers according to His good, pleasing and perfect will; and in His perfect timing.
