Our church sanctuary has a banner on the wall which reads ‘Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness’.

As a praise team, this is what we aspire to do through music as we lead the congregation in praise.  Our group use a mixture of instruments including: piano, organ, guitar, bass guitar, flute and occasionally clarinet and trumpet.  The praise team also includes the technical crew who run the sound desk and are responsible for projecting song words onto the big screen.  In all that we do as a praise team, we seek to give God all the glory, focusing people’s attention on Him.

At DSBC, we aim to blend the best of contemporary Christian worship songs with traditional hymns. The praise team is a dynamic entity and a ‘work in progress.’  One of our aims is to improve our skills individually and collectively and to be able to play together in new ways as we lead praise to God.  To this end, we arrange meetings throughout the year to enable prayer, discussion and more in-depth rehearsal.
